India’s Piramal Pays $635M For US Health Data Co.

Law360, New York (May 16, 2012, 3:42 PM EDT) -- India's Piramal Healthcare Ltd. is buying U.S. health data company Decisions Resources Group for $635 million, it said Wednesday, continuing its overseas hunt for higher-tech products a month after picking up a research and development unit from Germany's Bayer AG.

The deal, fueled half by debt and half by equity, is the second in recent weeks for a health analytics firm, following the $1.25 billion sale of Thomson Reuters Corp.'s unit to private equity shop Veritas Capital in April.
