Some Claims Over Rhode Island Nightclub Fire Settled

Law360, New York (September 06, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- A handful of defendants being sued by the families of the 100 people killed in a nightclub fire in Rhode Island have tentatively agreed to settle their cases for $13.5 million total.

In court documents filed Aug. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island, the plaintiffs said they had reached agreements to settle with four defendant groups.
