Jones Day Bankruptcy Pro To Oversee Tribune Litigation Trust

Law360, Wilmington (May 17, 2012, 3:59 PM EDT) -- Marc S. Kirschner, the former head of the bankruptcy and restructuring group at Jones Day, has been selected as Tribune Co.’s litigation trustee, the bankrupt media giant said Wednesday.

Once Tribune exits court protection, Kirschner will be charged with managing the barrage of litigation on behalf of Tribune creditors over the 2007 leveraged buyout that saddled the company with more than $10 billion in debt and, by most accounts, sent it spiraling toward bankruptcy.
