Wal-Mart Widens Internal Probe Of Overseas Bribery

Law360, New York (May 17, 2012, 6:08 PM ET) -- Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is expanding an internal probe into allegations that it paid $24 million in bribes to further its rapid expansion in Mexico to include other countries as well, the retail giant said in a regulatory filing Thursday.

The company said it was looking into alleged violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other alleged misconduct in connection with its foreign subsidiaries, including its Mexico unit.
