Law360, New York (May 23, 2012, 8:29 PM ET) -- Patrons at Atlantic City, N.J.'s casinos could use mobile devices to place bets from resort areas away from the gaming floor under a bill that a New Jersey Assembly panel approved Monday.
The Assembly Appropriations Committee in an 8-0 vote advanced legislation that proponents say will help modernize gambling in Atlantic City, which has been the focus of recent revitalization efforts as casinos work to recover from the economic downturn and compete with gaming options in other states.
