Sanctions Urged In Celexa, Lexapro Case

Law360, New York (September 7, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Forest Laboratories Inc. has asked the judge presiding over the multidistrict product liability litigation over blockbuster antidepressants Celexa and Lexapro to dismiss eight suits, arguing the plaintiffs should be punished for allegedly failing to comply with electronic discovery requirements in the wrongful death cases.

On Thursday, lawyers for defendants Forest Labs and Forest Pharmaceuticals Inc. filed a motion in the U.S District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, seeking to have the claims of Carmen Hill and seven others tossed.
