Former NLRB Member Becker Heads Back To AFL-CIO

Law360, New York (May 22, 2012, 3:41 PM ET) -- Former National Labor Relations Board member Craig Becker, whose appointment to the board stirred up controversy because of his previous work for unions, will return to the AFL-CIO, where he will serve as co-general counsel, the labor federation announced Tuesday.

Becker was appointed to the NLRB by President Barack Obama during a Congressional recess in March 2010, after Senate Republicans blocked his nomination because of his union ties, and he stepped down from his NLRB post when his term expired in December. He is currently teaching...
