$800M Coal Contract Suit Bounced To Federal Court

Law360, New York (September 07, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- A case demanding $800 million from energy giant Consol Energy Inc. was moved to a West Virginia district court on Thursday, after the company successfully argued that a county court lacked jurisdiction over the matter.

The original suit was filed in the Circuit Court of McDowell County, W. Va. by Bluestone Coal Corp. It has now been placed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia and assigned to Judge David A. Faber.
