Law360, New York (June 26, 2012, 8:27 PM ET) -- The General Court of the European Union will rule Wednesday on whether the EU's antitrust watchdog was justified in hitting Microsoft Corp. with a record-breaking €899 million ($1.3 billion) fine for failing to comply with an enforcement order.
The scheduled ruling comes on an appeal from Microsoft, filed shortly after the European Commission's competition unit said in 2008 that Microsoft was not helping competitors make their products work with the Windows operating system at low enough prices to meet the terms of a 2004 order....
