GSK Can't Escape Classen's Patent Infringement Suit

Law360, New York (May 30, 2012, 8:42 PM ET) -- A Maryland federal judge on Tuesday refused to dismiss the bulk of a case against GlaxoSmithKline PLC alleging the pharmaceutical giant infringed Classen Immunotherapies Inc.'s patents for evaluating a vaccine immunization schedule, while tossing contributory and willful infringement claims.

U.S. District Judge William D. Quarles Jr. tossed two infringement claims in a suit accusing GSK of violating patents protecting a method of choosing an immunization schedule for infants that lowers the chance of developing chronic immune-mediated disorders or common infectious diseases.
