Texas Court Throws Out $21M Award In Oil Royalty Battle

Law360, New York (May 31, 2012, 9:31 PM EDT) -- A Texas appeals court on Thursday overturned a $21 million judgment against Samson Lone Star LLC, ruling that a landowner’s claim that he was defrauded out of royalty payments was too late and based on an incorrect reading of his oil and gas leases.
