Law360, New York (June 01, 2012, 7:30 PM ET) -- The Eighth Circuit on Thursday upheld a lower court's decision that Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc., Pfizer Inc. and Pharmacia Corp. aren't liable for a man's gambling and other compulsive behaviors in multidistrict litigation over alleged side effects of Parkinson's treatment Mirapex.
In a published opinion, the Eighth Circuit agreed that because Brian Ridenour knew of the possible connection between his use of Mirapex and his gambling and hypersexuality issues more than two years before filing suit, his claims fell outside the statute of limitations.
