Columbia University Sued Over NYC Demolition Contract

Law360, New York (June 4, 2012, 2:55 PM EDT) -- Brooklyn construction company Breeze National Inc. filed suit against the Columbia University Board of Trustees in New York state court Friday, alleging that the university wrongfully terminated a Harlem-area demolition contract after a fatal construction accident.

Breeze, a waste disposal and demolition company, said Columbia breached its contract with the company because Breeze was not at fault for a partial collapse at a demolition site that killed a worker on March 22.
