Halliburton's Summary Judgment Bid Nixed

Law360, New York (September 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Texas court has rejected a joint motion for summary judgment—filed by Halliburton Energy Services Inc., Baker Hughes Oilfield Operations Inc. and U.S. Synthetic—in a case relating to four patents.

Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas handed down a memorandum opinion and order on Monday construing the terms in the four patents asserted by Grant Prideco Inc. and subsidiary Reed Hycalog UK Ltd.
