Law360, New York (June 05, 2012, 3:31 PM ET) -- Oracle Corp. has acquired social media analysis company Collective Intellect and plans to integrate its social network analytics with Oracle's existing software offerings, the California technology giant said Tuesday.
Redwood Shores, Calif.-based Oracle, run by Silicon Valley mogul Larry Ellison, said it had agreed to acquire Collective Intellect for an undisclosed sum. The deal is expected to close by the end of 2012, and until then Oracle and Collective Intellect will operate as independent companies, Oracle said.
