TransCanada Scores $3.9B Shell Pipeline Job

Law360, New York (June 5, 2012, 1:36 PM EDT) -- Royal Dutch Shell PLC's Canadian affiliate has selected TransCanada Corp. to helm a CA$4 billion (US$3.85 billion) pipeline project linking its newly unveiled liquefied natural gas hub in British Columbia to a natural gas production site in the province, TransCanada said Tuesday.

Under the contract, TransCanada will design, build and operate the 430-mile line, dubbed the Coastal GasLink project, which will carry natural gas from the Montney gas-producing region near Dawson Creek to the sprawling plant near the coastal city of Kitimat.
