GE Healthcare Grabs Brazilian X-Ray Systems Maker

Law360, New York (June 5, 2012, 6:11 PM EDT) -- GE Healthcare has scooped up Xpro Systems Ltd. for an undisclosed amount in a move that will enhance the General Electric Co. unit's Brazil offerings and boost access to minimally invasive imaging technology in the emerging market, according to an announcement Tuesday.

The deal gives GE's health care arm control of the Brazilian medical equipment manufacturer, which has 120 interventional X-ray systems installed at private customer sites, including hospitals and clinics across the South American powerhouse, GE said in a statement.
