Corporate America Supports ENDA, General Mills Says

Law360, New York (June 12, 2012, 2:38 PM EDT) -- A General Mills Inc. executive told federal lawmakers on Tuesday that the Employee Non-Discrimination Act, which would bar employment discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, would benefit employers, rejecting criticisms that the long-delayed legislation would lead to a flood of lawsuits or costly accommodations.

Speaking at a Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee hearing, General Mills' Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion, Ken Charles, said corporate America supports ENDA and that the legislation is “good for business and good for America.”
