GAO, KPMG Say CIA Botched Contract Award to Deloitte

Law360, Washington (June 6, 2012, 9:24 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office sent a $15.2 million accounting services contract back to the Central Intelligence Agency for re-evaluation Wednesday, saying the agency held KPMG LLP and Deloitte & Touche LLP to different bid standards and didn't adequately analyze the proposal costs.

The May 21 decision to sustain KPMG's bid protest over an accounting and financial services contract for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence was released publicly Wednesday.
