Calif. On The Hook For Back Wages In Furlough Fight

Law360, New York (June 8, 2012, 3:37 PM EDT) -- A California judge said Thursday that thousands of state scientists and engineers are due back wages estimated to total more than $10 million, holding that furloughs imposed by the cash-strapped state in 2011 weren't authorized because they affected union workers more than their nonunion counterparts.
