United Technologies To Rake In $1B For Goodrich Buy

Law360, New York (June 12, 2012, 1:27 PM EDT) -- United Technologies Corp. will issue a crop of equity units to raise $1 billion to help fund its buyout of aerospace manufacturer Goodrich Corp., the company said Tuesday.

The Hartford, Conn.-based industrial juggernaut said the 20 million units will include corporate shares and debt notes, both to be sold at $50 a pop on the New York Stock Exchange, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The notes will mature in 2022, the filing said.
