Big Legal Malpractice Claims On The Rise, Survey Finds

Law360, New York (June 14, 2012, 9:47 PM ET) -- Law firms aren't reporting more malpractice suits to their insurers than last year, but there has been a sharp rise in large legal malpractice claims, according to a survey released Wednesday.

Ames & Gough's annual survey found that five of six leading legal malpractice insurers have seen between a 6 to 21 percent jump in the number of malpractice claims with reserves of more than $500,000.
