TruePosition Wins $45.3M In Jury Verdict

Law360, New York (September 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal jury has awarded $45.3 million to TruePosition Inc., deciding Friday after a two-week trial that communication system provider Andrew Corp. had infringed on a patent for technology that can help determine the position of a cell phone.

The jury in the U.S. District Court in the District of Delaware also decided on Friday that the patent infringement was intentional, which could allow the judge to eventually triple the damages Andrew Corp. is ordered to pay.
