Law360, New York (June 15, 2012, 3:25 PM ET) -- A trio of major Japanese project developers — Osaka Gas Co. Ltd., Mitsubishi Corp. and Sharp Corp. — have banded together to purchase nine planned Canadian solar farms from a U.S.-based Sharp subsidiary for an undisclosed amount, according to an announcement Friday.
The deal gives the Japanese investors the rights to 100 megawatts' worth of generating power being developed by Sharp-owned Recurrent Energy in Ontario, Canada's renewable energy powerhouse, the parties said in parallel statements.
