EU Decision In Areva, Siemens Antitrust Probe Impending

Law360, New York (June 15, 2012, 12:21 PM EDT) -- A European Commission official said Friday that the antitrust regulator will soon wrap up an investigation into alleged anti-competitive activity in a former nuclear technology joint venture between Areva SA and Siemens AG.

The commission opened an investigation in May 2010 over concerns that the noncompete clauses in agreements that Germany's Siemens made when France's Areva took over the companies' civil nuclear technology joint venture violated European laws.
