Head Of ACA Implementation To Step Down From Post

Law360, New York (June 15, 2012, 7:19 PM EDT) -- Steve Larsen, the man leading efforts to implement key aspects of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, is resigning as the U.S. Supreme Court prepares to rule on the law's constitutionality, federal officials said Friday.

Larsen early last year took the mantle atop the Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight, an agency within the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

CMS Acting Administrator Marilyn Tavenner announced the departure in an email to staff Friday, calling Larsen an “instrumental part of our senior leadership team”...
