Law360, New York (June 15, 2012, 6:17 PM ET) -- Jurors wanted Rajat Gupta to go free, but the evidence against him was overwhelming, they said Friday after convicting the former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. director of securities fraud.
Gupta, after a 16-day trial and slightly more than a day's deliberation, was found guilty of passing information from the Goldman Sachs board to hedge fund founder Raj Rajaratnam.
It would probably not surprise many to learn that his wife and daughters, a presence throughout the trial, broke into sobs as the foreman read the verdict, but...
