Virgin, British Airways To Fight Foreign Purchasers

Law360, New York (September 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- British Airways PLC and Virgin Atlantic Airlines Ltd. have outlined several disputes with the putative class in multidistrict antitrust litigation related to price-fixing on international flights.

The two sides filed a joint case management statement Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California just weeks after British Airways accepted a $550 million fine and admitted it colluded to fix fuel surcharge prices on international flights.

In the statement, they articulated several disputes over subject-matter jurisdiction, pecuniary damages and scheduling.
