Medtronic Trumps Gore's Stent Graft Patent Claims

Law360, New York (June 20, 2012, 8:05 PM ET) -- A Virginia federal judge on Monday dismissed W.L. Gore & Associates Inc.'s patent suit against Medtronic Inc., ruling that the medical device maker hadn't infringed a patent covering methods of making intraluminal stent grafts used to repair blood vessels.

U.S. District Judge Mark Davis found in favor Medtronic, Medtronic USA Inc. and Medtronic Vascular Inc. with respect to infringement, and said Medtronic's counterclaims were moot in light of that determination.
