Senate Dems Look To Enforce Russia's Trade Commitments

Law360, New York (June 21, 2012, 7:30 PM EDT) -- Following calls from the White House, Congress and the U.S. Department of State for the speedy normalization of U.S. trade negotiations with Russia, Senate Democrats on Thursday proposed legislation aimed at holding the country to its promises once it entered the World Trade Organization.

Sens. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., and Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va. introduced a bill that would require the U.S. Trade Representative to issue annual public reports on Russia's compliance with trade agreements.
