Law360, New York (June 25, 2012, 7:41 PM ET) -- Pfizer Inc. launched a sprawling patent war in Delaware federal court Monday, lodging separate lawsuits against 11 major pharmaceutical companies over the rival firms' efforts to market generic versions of the antidepressant drug Pristiq.
Pfizer and its Wyeth LLC subsidiary filed complaints against a slew of companies, such as Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc., Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc., Watson Laboratories Inc., accusing each of infringing its patent for Pristiq by filing abbreviated new drug applications with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
