Aetna Wins Halt Of Ohio Medicaid Contracts

Law360, New York (June 27, 2012, 5:31 PM EDT) -- Ohio Medicaid officials were on the ropes Wednesday after a judge granted Aetna Inc.'s demand to stop awarding new health insurance contracts and Amerigroup Corp. announced it was suing with similar goals in mind because of alleged flaws in a bidding process.

In response to a lawsuit Aetna filed last week, Judge Richard S. Sheward of Franklin County Court on Tuesday issued a temporary restraining order that bars the state from entering into new agreements with any other providers.
