Arabtec JV Wins $3B Abu Dhabi Airport Terminal Job

Law360, New York (June 27, 2012, 1:53 PM EDT) -- The Abu Dhabi Airports Co. has awarded a $2.9 billion construction contract for its new airport terminal to a three-company joint venture that includes Arabtec Construction LLC, which has had a hand in several prominent projects in the United Arab Emirates.

Turkey-based Tav Construction, Greece-based Consolidated Contractors International Co., and Arabtec — which helped build the world's tallest building, the 250-story Burj Khalifa — will helm the effort. The 75-million-square-foot Midfield Terminal Building will accommodate 30 million passengers per year when it opens in 2017....
