Unmanned Aircraft: Filling US Airspace — And Courtrooms?

Law360, New York (July 5, 2012, 12:44 PM EDT) -- The word “drone” invokes images of distant battlefields in Iraq or Afghanistan. But as we hurtle further into the 21st century, think again. The Federal Aviation Administration Modernization and Reform Act of 2012, signed into law by President Obama in February, requires the agency to fully integrate unmanned aircraft systems, or drones, into the national airspace system for public and commercial use by Sept. 30, 2015.[1]
