Avis Shift Managers Win Class Cert. In Wage Suit

Law360, New York (June 29, 2012, 4:10 PM ET) -- A New Jersey federal judge on Thursday gave her blessing to a class of Avis Budget Group Inc. shift managers who allege they weren't paid for overtime compensation even though they performed duties not exempt from overtime regulations.

U.S. District Judge Susan D. Wigenton granted conditional approval to the managers' motion to certify the class, rejecting Avis' contention that the class wasn't similarly situated.
