Workers Ask 5th Circ. To Up Payout In Judge Harassment Row

Law360, New York (July 3, 2012, 3:16 PM EDT) -- A trio of Texas county employees who won a sexual harassment suit against a former state judge told the Fifth Circuit on Friday that the judge’s appeal was without merit and asked the court to increase their punitive damage awards.

Three women, two current employees and one former employee of Brazoria County, Texas, won a lawsuit against Judge James Blackstock and the county in July 2011, with a jury finding Blackstock had sexually harassed them and attempted to have them fired when they complained.
