Jury Finds Adobe Didn't Infringe Tarkus Imaging Patent

Law360, New York (July 2, 2012, 7:53 PM EDT) -- A Delaware federal jury on Friday ruled that Adobe Systems Inc. didn't infringe on San Jose, Calif.-based Tarkus Imaging Inc.'s digital imaging patent, handing a win to the graphic design giant in a suit accusing it of ripping off automatic photo-toning technology.

At issue is U.S. Patent Number 6,628,823, titled, “Pictorial Digital Image Processing Incorporating Adjustments to Compensate for Dynamic Range Differences.”
