Environmental Guns Take Shot At Air Fresheners

Law360, New York (September 21, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A handful of top environmental organizations have set their sights on air fresheners, petitioning the federal government to start scrutinizing the products that they believe pose numerous health risks to consumers.

On Wednesday, the group, which includes the National Resources Defense Council and the Sierra Club, filed a petition with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Consumer Product Safety Commission, questioning the safety of air fresheners and pushing for a crack-down on the industry in general.
