Law360, New York (July 03, 2012, 2:09 PM ET) -- New York-based investment fund giant BlackRock Inc. has reached an agreement to purchase the $7.5 billion private equity and fund of funds businesses of Swiss insurer Swiss Re, doubling its private equity holdings, BlackRock said Tuesday.
BlackRock will acquire Zurich-based Swiss Re Private Equity Partners AG and enter into a strategic alternative investment collaboration with Swiss Re, it said.
