Barclays’ Ex-CEO Defends Bank in Libor-Rigging Scandal

Law360, New York (July 3, 2012, 3:26 PM EDT) -- Barclays’ former chief executive Robert E. Diamond Jr. sought Wednesday to shift the focus of an interest rate-rigging scandal away from the bank, reportedly telling a U.K. parliamentary committee that regulators were warned of problems, and pointing out that other top banks are also implicated in the ongoing inquiry.
