UK Court OK's Budvar, Anheuser Co-Use Of Budweiser Mark

Law360, New York (July 03, 2012, 7:51 PM ET) -- A U.K. Court of Appeals on Tuesday rejected Anheuser-Busch InBev NV’s latest attempt to force Czech brewery Budejovicky Budvar NP to stop using the Budweiser name in a long-running trademark dispute between the two brewers.

The Court of Appeal of England and Wales confirmed the European Court of Justice’s September decision that found both companies could lay claim to the "Budweiser" trademark in the U.K. country without causing substantial confusion.
