Reps Seek Unysis Probe After Security Breach

Law360, New York (September 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two congressmen have asked the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Department of Justice to investigate what they say may have been a criminal failure by contractor Unysis Corp. to safeguard the security of Homeland Security's information technology.

House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) and Rep. James Langevin (D-R.I.) said in a letter to the inspector general of Homeland Security Friday that not only did the contractor fail to keep the technology secure, it tried to hide the gaps after the breach was detected....
