Library Groups Ask High Court To Overturn First-Sale Ruling

Law360, New York (July 6, 2012, 3:30 PM EDT) -- A trio of library associations on Tuesday threw their weight behind a U.S. Supreme Court appeal seeking to overturn the ruling that the first-sale copyright law doctrine doesn't apply to works manufactured outside the U.S., arguing that such a restriction impedes libraries' lending abilities.
