Military Contractor Sued Over US Soldier's Shooting Death

Law360, Los Angeles (July 10, 2012, 7:04 PM EDT) -- The family of a slain California soldier sued a military contractor Monday for rehiring a security guard who previously threatened to kill U.S. soldiers and was later responsible for a deadly 2011 attack on a military base in Afghanistan.

The lawsuit claims Tundra Strategies Inc., a private security contractor headquartered in Canada, failed to properly document threats made by Shir Ahmed, an Afghan national, or warn the U.S. military the danger he posed to soldiers while working as a guard on the Forward Operating Base Frontenac....
