Rambus Defends Counterclaims Against Chip Makers

Law360, New York (September 25, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Firing the latest salvo in a tit-for-tat patent spat, Rambus Inc. has defended counterclaims against three computer chip makers, arguing the rivals were marketing new infringing products.

In court papers opposing separate motions by Nanya Technology Corp., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and Micron Technology to strike the claims, Rambus contends it has not added new patents or new claims in contravention of the court's case management order, but has merely added new devices to the infringement list.
