Sprint, Google Target Apple's Samsung Ban In Fed. Circ.

Law360, New York (July 11, 2012, 4:02 PM EDT) -- Sprint Spectrum LP on Tuesday asked the Federal Circuit to suspend a trial court's order blocking Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. from selling its Galaxy Nexus smartphones during its ongoing patent battle with Apple Inc., days after Google Inc. made a similar request.

The Sprint Nextel Corp. subsidiary said in an amicus brief with the appellate court that the preliminary injunction against Samsung would have a destructive effect on the wireless services company and its customers, while warning against the “substantial and irreparable harm” that would result...
