Law360, New York (July 12, 2012, 4:40 PM ET) -- A federal judge said Thursday that a proposed class of Little Rock, Ark., strippers were not employees under federal or state labor law, becoming the latest judge to weigh in on the worker status of exotic dancers.
U.S. District Judge Brian S. Miller said that even under the most favorable light, the dancers at the Prime Time Club were more like independent contractors, rather than employees that are protected by the Fair Labor Standards Act and Arkansas Minimum Wage Act.
