Bernanke Rejects Claims Dodd-Frank Stalled Recovery

Law360, New York (July 18, 2012, 3:46 PM EDT) -- Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke on Wednesday rejected Republican charges that uncertainty surrounding the still unfinished rules mandated by the financial reform law is hampering the recovery of the limping U.S. economy.

During questioning as part of his semi-annual appearance before the House Financial Services Committee, Bernanke said that while there are some costs attached to the tightening of regulations required under the 2010 Dodd-Frank Act, other factors like the European debt crisis and broad recession on that continent were the main problems confronting the U.S....
