CFPB Credit, Mortgage Rules Walk A Fine Line, Reps. Say

Law360, Washington (July 19, 2012, 8:29 PM EDT) -- Members of a U.S. House of Representatives subcommittee voiced concerns in a Thursday hearing that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's efforts to combat predatory credit and mortgage lending may create unnecessary limitations on consumer credit options.

Thursday's consumer- and credit-based discussion was part of a broader series of House Committee on Financial Services' hearings on the effects of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act on consumers, insurers and members of the financial and lending community.
