Law360, New York (July 19, 2012, 9:07 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania Supreme Court judge facing corruption charges lost her bid Tuesday to have an out-of-district judge to hear her upcoming criminal case in Allegheny County.

Justice Joan Orie Melvin, who is accused of using state resources to fund her 2003 and 2009 campaigns for her state Supreme Court seat, had asked the high court to consider a petition that would have forced the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas to appoint an outside judge to hear her case.
